2009 Nationally Recognized Blue Ribbon School of Excellence

ST. MARK SCHOOL is unique from other local Catholic and public schools in Stratford, CT. Our Catholic faith is the foundation for our community and the educational initiatives that form the whole child through evangelical values.  At St. Mark School, we form students into true disciples of Christ, fostering a strong sense of Catholic identity and pride. Within a safe and nurturing environment, we encourage our students to deepen their faith, strive for academic excellence, and live out the teachings of Christ in their everyday actions. Service to others is at the heart of our community, instilling in each student a commitment to love, integrity, and making a positive impact in the world around them. Through this mission, St. Mark School not only prepares students for academic achievement but also for a life of faithful service, rooted in Catholic values.

The Little Lions Preschool exceeds our expectations. Julie goes above and beyond daily for the children and does it all with a smile. Our daughter is excited to go to school and continues to grow exponentially each new day. We are eager to see what the future holds for our daughter at St. Mark School.

Little Lions is a wonderful place where your child will blossom right before your eyes. Mrs. Larracuente’s developmentally appropriate approach to teaching and learning is a true gift. We have been lucky to have two of our children go through the program and we couldn’t be happier with their first school experience. Our children were more than ready for Kindergarten!!

I was fortunate to attend St. Mark School for my elementary education, where I not only received a strong academic foundation but also had the gift of deepening my faith in God. Now, as a third-grade teacher, I feel truly blessed to be back at the school I cherished as a child. It’s a joy to collaborate with my fellow faculty members, some of whom were once my teachers. The sense of community at St. Mark School is as vibrant and strong as it was when I was a student. It truly feels like coming home!

St. Mark School is such a close knit community. We could not have asked for a more caring environment for our daughter. Each day we feel as if we are sending her to her second family. She feels safe and happy at school. The teachers are wonderful, providing top notch academics and individual attention and care to all children. St. Mark is not only preparing our young children academically, but also preparing them to become young men and women who are kind, altruistic and possess a strong moral compass. We are so happy that we chose St. Mark and could not have asked for a better school!

Our Little Lions in PK 4 have been extra busy and having a blast since Halloween! They explored their very own pumpkin patch, created a bubbling “magic brew” with vinegar and baking soda, and enjoyed a fun round of golf for the letter “G” Show and Tell. They also conducted a sink or float experiment, and learned all about the letter H.On top of their science and literacy adventures, they learned about community helpers and practiced important safety skills, like how to cross the street safely. These Little Learner are certainly keeping busy, exploring, and having fun every step of the way! ... See MoreSee Less

On Friday, our amazing Second Graders continued a cherished St. Mark tradition by coming to school dressed as their favorite saints and sharing heartfelt reports about their lives. The day began with First Friday Mass, where Father Martin quizzed the students, faculty and parishioners to guess which saint each child was portraying. After Mass, our little saints marched over to visit our preschool, spreading inspiration and joy before presenting their reports on their chosen saint. Each student brought their saint to life, highlighting stories of faith, courage, and compassion. It was inspiring to see our students celebrate these holy examples and reflect on the values they represent. We are so proud of our Second Grade Saints for their hard work, creativity, and devotion, it was truly a special day of learning and faith! ...
