Hello! My name is James Mas, and I joined St. Mark School as the School Counselor in the Spring of 2025.
I graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, and went on to earn my Master’s degree in School Counseling from Fairfield University in January 2025.
I have spent much of my adult life working in education. My experience includes serving as a substitute teacher in Ansonia Public Schools and Amity Regional High School, as well as a school counseling intern in Naugatuck and Oxford Public Schools. Through these roles, I have worked with students from kindergarten through 12th grade and also had the opportunity to coach at both the high school and collegiate levels.
I grew up attending St. Lawrence School (now Holy Trinity Catholic Academy) from Pre-K through 8th grade, and later graduated from St. Joseph High School. I am excited to bring my experience in school counseling and Catholic education to the St. Mark community!
