"Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel…” Mark 16:15

Hello! I’m Karen Laracca, and I’m thrilled to be back with the St. Mark School family as the part-time Mathematics Intervention Teacher and Building Substitute.

I’m especially grateful to return after taking time off to help care for my first granddaughter, who was born in August 2025. I cherish the blessing of spending two days each week with her, and I’m excited to rejoin St. Mark in a role that allows me to support my growing family while continuing to make a meaningful impact on students.

Before joining St. Mark as the Grade 5 teacher during the 2024–2025 school year, I spent eight years serving as a classroom teacher and math interventionist in Trumbull, Stratford, and Oxford. My husband and I are active parishioners at Christ the King Catholic Church in Trumbull, where we were honored with the St. Augustine Medal for exemplary service to Christ and His Church.

In my new role as Mathematics Intervention Teacher, I provide targeted small-group and individualized support, with my schedule prioritizing middle school math while also assisting in lower school classrooms as needed. As a building substitute, I step in to cover teacher absences when necessary.

I am blessed and excited to continue serving the wonderful students and families of St. Mark School.
