Hi! I am Karen Laracca, 5th grade teacher. I received my undergraduate at University of Bridgeport studying health sciences. I returned to UB for my Masters in Education after substitute teaching for many years while my son and daughter were growing up. I have worked in Trumbull, Stratford and Oxford as a classroom teacher and interventionist during my 8 years as a certified teacher. My husband and I belong to Christ The King Catholic Church in Trumbull where we received the St. Augustine Medal for volunteering. I am excited to be working at St Mark to connect with my students and help them grow in education and spirituality. After working in public school I look forward to being able to share my faith with my students, especially with daily prayer and weekly Mass. I love math and science because of the endless opportunities for hands-on learning. When I am not teaching, I enjoy the beach, reading and crafting.
