I’m Kate Nelson, and I’m the PK3 teacher at St. Mark School! I bring more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education and I look forward to nurturing my preschool students’ growth academically, physically, and spiritually throughout the school year and beyond.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Services from the University of Connecticut and my master’s degree in Elementary Education from Fordham University. I am certified by the State of Connecticut to teach Preschool through Grade 6.

In addition to my many years as a classroom teacher, I have served as both the Educational Coordinator and Director of a preschool in Westport, experiences that have given me valuable leadership and curriculum development skills. Outside of school, I enjoy running local races, walking my dogs, reading a good book, and spending time with my two teenage children.
