Hello! My name is Sarah Capela, and I’m so grateful to serve as the School Counselor here at St. Mark School. From my very first day, I could feel God’s presence in the warmth and kindness that fills this community.
I have a background in special education and experience working with students from Pre-K through Grade 8. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Sacred Heart University. My passion is helping children grow into confident, compassionate, and faith-filled individuals who recognize their God-given gifts.
As counselor, I aim to support the whole child—emotionally, academically, and spiritually—through classroom lessons, small groups, and individual support. My hope is that every student feels seen, valued, and loved for who they are.
Outside of school, I enjoy dancing (especially Zumba and ballroom), relaxing at the beach, traveling, and spending time with my mini goldendoodle.
I feel truly blessed to be part of the St. Mark family and look forward to walking alongside our students and families as we learn, grow, and shine in God’s light together.
